“My daughter bit off more than she could chew. She decided to take AP Calculus, which turned out to be a disaster. A student who had previously never received lower than a "B" grade, midway through the fall semester had a solid "F" in AP Calculus. And, no, it was not through lack of effort. She did all homework, plus extra credit, but simply bombed on tests. In addition to the subject matter being very difficult, my daughter found the class instructor's method to be incompatible with her way of learning. The instructor proceeds with a rapic pace, and expects a fair amount of self-learning. Desperate to get her grade up, we turned to Wyzant. We selected Marissa. During the past 6 months, Marissa tutored my daughter weekly. We were pleased with the result -- it had a dramatic impact.
