“What a great find! I am an older career-changer student who returned to school to take post-bacc pre-med classes, and the sciences have never been my strength. I was studying for a General Chemistry exam the night before the test and was struggling with the material. I decided to go on Wyzant to see if I could find a last-minute tutor who could do an impromptu video chat tutoring session. I came across Josh's profile, and even though he was two hours ahead of me and almost going to bed, he agreed to do a session. I worked on problems on my iPad and screenshared it so he could give guidance and explanations when needed, and it worked out great. I got the highest chem exam score of the semester because of it. My final exam was the next week, so I asked Josh if he could do daily sessions until the exam as I wanted to aggressively tackle studying for it. Throughout the whole process he was agreeable and fair, and flexible with his schedule, and we did 5 nights of sessions in a row. Throughout it all, he was patient and thorough, making sure I understood all the concepts, and explaining concepts from the whole length of the semester that I forgot or blanked on.
