After each problem, he would make sure that I've written it down before erasing and moving on. He had topics from his own praxis book ready for when I could not think of a particular problem. Our session lasted about 45 minutes and he actually charged me for exactly 45 minutes instead of rounding up to the hour, which I really appreciated.
