“My son, a senior in high school, was extremely fortunate to have Bill tutor him in both Honors PreCal and Honors Calculus. He tutored him twice a week during the second semester of Calc.Today, I'm sending Bill a big virtual hug, because my son~with time and hard work~was able to achieve a final grade in Honors Calc that he didn't think he'd be able to achieve. Bill is extremely organized, dedicated, and goes the extra mile for those he tutors. My son struggled on Calc assessments, so Bill made him some practice assessments to help him gain more confidence in taking assessments and to help him gain familiarity with course content. My son was discouraged sometimes about his performance, but Bill was encouraging and reminded our son that he is a capable student. Our son made a 50% on a test, but~with Bill's help~ was able to get an 80% on the next test. Bill is a gifted tutor and a caring individual and was always prompt, courteous, and knowledgable. This is why we sought him out again after he first tutored our son in PreCal. We are incredibly grateful that he helped our son to successfully complete the courses and we hope our son has learned a lesson he will carry with him to college. “My daughter received her ACT scores today and is thrilled with the outcome! She improved FIVE points in the math section (her focus), from a 30 to a 35. In the spring, she scored a 34 composite on the ACT, but her Math section was only a 30 and she wanted to raise that score—hoping to at least get a 33 in math. We joined Wyzant and were lucky enough to discover Bill F. To prepare for the Sept. ACT, my daughter started meeting with Bill in early August. She had 6 weeks until test day and met with Bill 7 or 8 times over 6 weeks. He gave her practice tests and practice “homework” questions in between their meetings.
