“Bob is a terrific AP Comp Sci tutor and helped my son achieve a score of 5 on the AP exam. My son Julian was struggling in his AP Comp Sci course in his senior year of high school. Though he was strong in math, his learning style didn't match well with the teacher's approach to the material. Julian received a C+ for his first half grade. We turned to Wyzant for the flexibility of scheduling tutoring times as Julian was a three-sport athlete. Julian immediately found Bob's style of tutoring helpful and fun - not only showing him how to tackle the work but also the why rationale behind each approach which helped improve his understanding and retention of the material. Bob usually spent 2 sessions with Julian before each exam and at times one session before a difficult coding project was due across the second half of the year. Bob was a great communicator in terms of scheduling appointments and was very flexible in accommodating Julian's fluctuating schedule. In the end, Julian received an A in the second half of the year finishing with a B+ for the year, achieved a 5 on the AP exam and is now in his freshman year at Wesleyan University in CT where he received credit from the AP exam for a 100 level comp sci course and is now enrolled in a 200 level Comp Sci course.
