“From the very first lesson, Tolu has been incredibly kind, supportive, and genuinely caring. Every session starts with her checking in and asking how my day or week has been, which instantly creates a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere. She creates such a positive environment, and it’s clear that she truly cares about her students. On top of that, she’s an amazing teacher. What really makes her stand out is how she explains things. Whenever I don’t understand a question, she’s always patient and reassuring, never making me feel embarrassed. She takes the time to show me different methods and shares really helpful tips to make things click. She always makes sure I fully understand before moving on and encourages me to use the method that works best for me. My lessons at school are also 50 minutes long, but very little of that time is actually spent doing maths. Between other pupils misbehaving and a lack of motivation from teachers to really teach, we often end up doing only about 10 minutes of maths, where not much is learnt, and the remaining 40 minutes feel like an eternity. However, with Tolu, those 50 minutes are fully used and never feel endless. She starts by teaching me the topic clearly, going through different approaches to find the one that works best for me. This is then followed by lots of practice questions, all varying in difficulty. Before I started lessons with her, I didn’t enjoy maths at all. Now, it’s something I actually look forward to. Her lessons have made me feel so much more confident, and I genuinely enjoy learning during our sessions. She’s completely changed how I feel about maths, turning something that once felt stressful and boring into something manageable and even enjoyable. Before working with her, I was getting maximum 20/80 in my maths exams (roughly a GCSE grade 3), even after weeks of studying that didn’t seem to make a difference. Since starting lessons with her, my results have improved massively achieving 68/80 in my latest exam, which is a very high GCSE grade 8. This progress is entirely down to her teaching, encouragement, and belief in me. She didn’t just help improve my grades, but also my confidence and mindset towards maths. I honestly can’t recommend her highly enough. If you’re looking for a tutor who can explain maths clearly, build your confidence, and make lessons genuinely fun and enjoyable, she’s absolutely the one.”
